Jessica Johnson is a Howard University graduate and recipient of over $200,000 in scholarships
s the Founder and Executive Director of The Scholarship, she has spent the last decade serving as a family scholarship consultant and travels throughout the country conducting scholarship workshops for organizations such as The Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), The U.S. Department of Labor, The New York Urban League, and the National Center of Philanthropy. Jessica is the author of The Scholarship Workbook: A 3-Step Guide Scholarship Tutorial.
She is also the national scholarship expert for The Black College Expo, a contributor to the Center for Student Opportunity newsletter, and a feature writer for HBCUconnect.com. She has also helped to develop search engine metrics for www.scholarshipsdc.org. Because of her commitment to helping students pursue debt-free degrees Jessica has received numerous awards, the most recent includes being named an Inaugural Echoing Green Black Male Achievement Fellow, Ebony Magazine’s Educate Young Minds Award, Root Magazine’s Top 100 Emerging Leaders, and the Center for Financial Enterprise Development’s Innovative College Access Champion Award.
