About AmeriCorps
AmeriCorps: a national service program modeled after the “Peace Corps.” Much like the Peace Corps, AmeriCorps programs provide opportunities for individuals to commit to a year of service in organizations whose mission is to meet critical needs in local communities.
What a service year with TSA looks like
TSA & AmeriCorps: as a Georgia AmeriCorps State program, The Scholarship Academy recruits service members from all walks of life. Regardless of a service member’s previous financial aid knowledge, we look for those interested in helping students decrease student loan debt and increase competitiveness for scholarship applications. Our service members interact with students/families/school personnel to leave a lasting impact, grounded in The Scholarship Academy’s financial aid awareness curriculum.
